Ive got a weagle that is starting to get long in the tooth after a long last seasons worth of use. The back bottom half of the lure is losing its top coat of clear and its quickly starting to work its way up and around the lure. Should I try to cut off the top coat and peel away anything that is undercut and try to re-coat with a epoxy on the areas that I cant save the original top coat?

I did T the hooks but the rash was too much, it did get thrown more than any lure in the boat and was responsible for a 48.5, 44.5, and 43.5 last year. Tasty little morsel's those weagles are.

Just keep using it, nothing bad will happen.

I wouldn't add anything to it.

The more water it soaks up, the better it will run!!! LEAVE IT ALONE

I had an old school weagle that I didn't want to retire, so my buddy Jeremy did a little rattlecan special on it. Real light coat of ETex over the top. They can be redone. Pic is terrible, but you get the basic idea.
