Need some suggestions. I am between these two motors (Evinrude E-tech or Honda 4 stroke). Motor will be 90 hp. Both have their goods and bads.

Suzuki would be my first choice, but assuming you are going to pick one of these two, it's Honda without question.

The Honda might weigh a little bit more, but they have a great record of reliability. Can't quite say that about the E-Tec yet.

I run an E-tec and love it - The Honda's are sweet but their heavier and more pricey. My vote is E-Tec all the way!

I have owned a 90 hp Honda for 6 years. It's a 2000 model year and except for a water pump and a small problem with shifter arm on the tiller handle I haven't had any problems. I chaulk both of those up as maintence anyway. I would buy another Honda if I was in the market. I agree with TopWalker thu the Suzuki's I have been around are pretty sweet.

i run a 225 e-tec. I absolutly love it. I reccomend it in all motor sizes. But honda makes a very good motor also, especially in the lower h.p. like a 90

My 2008 150 E-TEC blew a powerhead at 18hrs. I would buy a Yamaha if I had it to do over again.

Go with the etec, i have a 225 etec on my ranger 619vs. They have amazing torque and handle great. They are more fuel efficient then hondas and need way less matinesnes. And it cost less t winterize a etec then a honda.
