I was there this afternoon, got 30-40 pics, some will turn out alright. There were no less than 3 fish that were 48" plus, if indeed the cement pilings are that wide as suggested by a gentleman there. Saw a couple try and jump it, not even close. Some of those fish are looking really beat up, there was a small one COVERED in white/infections and looking pretty morbid.

At one point two of the BIG girls were about a foot off shore and we walked right down to them, they didn't budge. I tried to get pics about 20 times, even with my polarized glasses over the lens, but with the glare today it just wasn't happening. Way cool to see, saw the tiger too!

I am not doubting or disputing what you were told but that wall is actually 45" we have measured it in the past.

Good to know, no worries. I was hoping someone would clarify, it was an offhand comment from someone walking past. 1 of those fish was as long as the wall, 2 were longer by a couple inches.

They weren't very active when I got there tonight at about 6:30 but I did see 2 fish, both were decent size. Its a good thing the fish in the last 2 pictures wasn't hungry because that would have been some great photos to get lol.

I must say all are very cool pictures from the 1st page to this one! And those signs you all were talking about, cant you just put signs that say "No fishing, and smile your on camera" I would higly doubt even if there was no "real" camera most people wouldnt mess around thinking there was. just a CHEAP thought. Props to all the chapters and true muskie anglers everywhere!

Well we have a flipside to this idea, the DNR used to watch the dam from the hospital parking lot but due to recent cutbacks in manpower they aren't able to, but I always tell people they are their watching them right now, that normally gets them to leave.

I know everywhere is hurting for DNR. Kinda funny, with all the GREEN talk and saving our resources/earth, yet they seem to be spending money on new ideas, and not saving what we already have or improve it. Its pretty sad. The states shouldve put in for a resource stimulas package! Screw the suits buy a muskie!

We got some great underwater footage today, look for it on "Go Fish" 2 next winter. How long do those Wingra fish hang out there? How often do they jump the dam? We might have to head over there to film it!

Here are some pictures from this past weekend, with the high water they were really active. I was drooling over the fish in the following pictures, I can't say how big she is exactly but she's big.

it starts at ice out and can last till the mid june. as for jumping i have seen 5,6,7 fish jump in a half hour and aint see none in 2 hours. its hard to say when they will be jumping and when they wont. when we got some rain last week and the water was flowing good over the spillway they got real active. i would say the best time is after a good rain. but you WILL always see fish.
