Location: MPLS, MN | I'm upgrading my sonar/gps. The depthfiner I have now comes off an can be used up front or on my console. I plan to leave the old one up front and put the new one at the console. That would mean I'd have two transducers on the back hull. Any special place to set them up? Will they interfere with each other being that close to each other? Want to make sure I hook it up correctly the first time.
Thanks for any help. |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | Any chance these are Lowrance units? Reason I ask is, if there an LMS-520 or of greater size, all you would need to do is get the ethernet cable which would allow you to only have to have one transducer. You can then use the same transducer at both units and see the same information.
Otherwise, I know for Lowrance units I've run two transducers side by side and know many others have too and haven't heard of any issues that I know of. |

Location: MPLS, MN | Thanks, the older unit is a Hummingbird Matrix 37 and the new one is a Lowrance HDS7. |

Location: Gone Fishin | I have a humminbird 797 and a lowrance 334 and had some minor issues with interference when both of the transducers on opposite sides of the back of the boat. This year I moved the lowrance ducer to the bottom of the trolling motor in front of the boat and I haven't had any problems yet. |
