Location: S.W. WI | Does anyone have any expirience using Tuf-Line XP?
I looked on thier web site and it does not state what it is made of or if it is spectrafiber. Nor does it say anywhere on box or spool what it is made of.
Would like any input before I spool it on, I am most concerned with if it soaks up water.

Location: Pelican Rapids, MN | Since Kevlar and Teflon have been trademarked the last couple of years, the physical make up has been removed or put in more scientific terms. But that's what it basically is. It is great summer line but in the fall it freezes due to water retention. The Tuf line Plus 80 -100# which was designed for offshore use is awesome for Trinidad reels because it holds it's round shape really well thus proper stacking on a non-level wind reel. Give her a go! |

Location: Medford, WI | Jon, I have used this quite a bit in the 80-100lb test and have always liked it. Never had it snap on me ever....as Jerry mentioned, you definitely don't want to use it late, late in the fall as it will freeze easily.

Location: Iowa | I have Tuff line XP on 3 of my setups and love it...it is preety comparable to my Power Pro and Stealth Camo Braid as far as I can tell...stuff is awesome and I would highly recommend it...

Location: Chicago | I used it for years since superlines came out, but in recent years made the switch to Power Pro only because I could tell a differece from how less my hands became soaked. Other than that never any other problems. |

| TUF Line - Good for summer and the black weave of dacron through it will always frey first and let you know when it is time to retie.
TUF Plus - Casts a little smoother/better than regular TUF but no black weave to see wear.
TUF XP - Not sure what the other guys are talking about with it freezing. I have used all three of these in below freezing temps (and even all three in the same day) and can tell you that XP has less ice build up on the line and guides than the other two do. I am guessing the waxy coating on the XP helps with this. (While it retains less ice than the others, it is a stiffer (less limp) line though which is why I only use in late fall (because I prefer the others in summer) |
