Broke my glasses you all!!! Not good!! I'm on some monster Musky too! Only problem is I can't get them to eat!! I think they are makin love!! I'm serious man! I had one hit a tube by the boat the other day that was a monster, then she stayed in the same area all day and everytime I went back on her she would get pissed and thrash the water on top and porpoise on one side then go 2 the other and porpoise again. It was hilarious!! I can't even tell you how many I seen porpoise, It was crazy! I need a big sucker to set in her face!!

Anyway, I need some new shades. Alot on ebay but cheap. Need mid price pair. Preferably blue or green lense. There the all around lense right? Hook me up on a deal you all!! Then come down here and bring some suckers so we can stick the pig!!! LOL

Thanks
cpr

Native makes some real nice shades for $100 to $150. I just picked up a pair of their Hardtops as a tax return gift and got 3 sets of replaceable lenses alongside. Unlimited lifetime warranty and you can buy additional lenses off their website.

I'm partial to my Ocean Wave Backwater Greens, but my H30's work in a pinch. Lots of sites sell quality shades at a discount.

I'll second what Woody said regarding the Natives. I have 2 pairs of hardtops and they are awesome. I have 2 sets of frames 4 sets of temples and 6 different sets of lenses now, giving me sunglasses for every situation/light condition. I've used the warranty service 3 times now and have only paid the processing fee one time and the service is pretty quick. I bought a pair of the hardtop XPs at sportsmans warehouse last weekend for $90, normal price of $150. They had all sunglasses marked down 40% and a good selection relative to other items they sell. If there is one in your area I would check it out.

Don't laugh but I still have my Bill Dance glasses from a long time ago. I try not to wear them when anyone is in the boat. Side shields and all baby! Vintage early 80s!

I have had natives and costa del mar but the Oakley kvd with shallow blue iridiam lenses I have now are by far my favorite. they are about $180 though. If you have a sportsmans warehouse going out of business by your house hit them up. The one by me had natives and smiths 30% off.

Have both Smith Escalades (amber lens) and Costa Turbines (blue mirror) that are awesome. Don't skimp on your glasses if you can help it.

Ocean Waves, no doubt, excellent lense, and the stand behind their product, they might cost a little more $$$ up front, but the they have repaired mine twice and that is going on 5 years.

100% Costa Del Mar - Costa 580 lenses block light that falls around 580 nanometers in the light spectrum, and they turn up the visual volume of the red, blue and green areas. This is patented technology you'll only find in COSTA 580 lenses. (yes this was copied from the literature)

The new silver lenses are probably the best I've ever had. The Sunrise lenses are second to none at sunrise and sunset.
To list some brands I've compared to costas: Oakley, Maui Jim, Action Optics, Ocean Waves, Keanon, Revo, and Ray Ban. A lot of nice lenses and some really cool looking glasses, but when it's to getting down to business... Costas - There is no competition.

I'll have to side with Jerry on this one, the 580 lense is the best in the business. It's something everyone should check out even if you don't buy them, you have to see to believe. I have the costa 580 with the green mirror lense and nothing that I have tried is more clear and crisp, the detail is amazing. the price is a little steep at 260 for the glass lense but it's the last pair you'll ever buy.

I have tried so many... I now have 2 pair of Costa's with glass lenses. I much prefer glass over Poly Carbonite. I like Vermillion or Amber for all around and low light, and Blue for the bright sunny conditions. I have not tried the WAVE 580s lenses yet... I have the Fathom frames, and they just fit so nice. Great coverage, and very comfortable. You can often find these for 100-120 or even less lightly used. I actually got both pairs on this site for 100 or less... Both were just like new.

I just piked up a pair of Oakley Flak Jackets XLJ with the VR28 Black Irridium lens for Golf. However, they are so vivid with high contrast, I may try them for fishing. These are a nice concept with the interchangeable lenses. You can start out with the len color you will use the most, then add low light, bright sun, polarized etc. The fit of these is a little different and will take some getting used to. They really hug your head...

Maui Jim also makes really great lenses. I would argue as good or better than any other. They are worth a look if you can find a frame you like. I have a pair that I use just for driving. Again these are glass.

Don't overlook the Maui Jim poly lenses. They are about as good as it gets for poly lenses. They make a pair of shades with titanium or plastic frames feel nearly weightless.

I used to spend a ton of time on the ocean - and back then Maui Jim's were the standard. Every guide, Captain, mate... You name it, they wore Maui's. I had a pair of the Offshore, and the Volcano's in the Polycarbonate lens. After a couple of years, the Offshore's lenses started to flake and crack - These were used almost daily for two years. Nice glasses but durability is an issue. I have had a pair of Costa Fathoms since 2002 and they are still in great shape. The only damage is the rubber ear skids are wearing.

I know some people who did that and they say the glasses are knock-offs, very cheap.

River, Go to Sierra Trading Post. They have the best deals hands down. Good luck with your porpose-muskies.
