Subject: Mill Creek Lake

I was looking into heading to Mill Creek sometime this coming week to try for some muskies for the first time this year. Has anyone fished this lake before?

Lots of cover. Low density/managed as a trophy fishery. $16 ramp fee (at least it was last year... been that way for some time). Weeds in mid-Central IL have not begun to grow yet.

Probably much better options in IL.

I agree with CUB. Went there last year and didn't see a fish in a 17 hour day. Now I realize that a bad day doesn't determine the quality of the fishery but the bass tournament guys didn't know there were even muskies in the lake. Typically bass guys catch muskies in the shallows during tournaments on every other lake. Bass guys don't catch many, there aren't that many IMO.
