Call up Popps resort and ask them for a good guide. They should have a bunch of names to give you. I know the sportsman in appleton just had a seminar with a guide from Marinett.
Here Popps number.

thanks for the info, but I was looking more for recomnendations of guides that someone may have fished with, than just picking 1 out of the blue.

Cauldron Falls is a pretty easy lake to fish without a guide. Bright colored bucktails on the cabbage edges and surface baits over the cabbage is the way to go. The lake gives up fish very easily in the first half of the summer, but gets a little tougher as the water temp peaks and the weeds start to get gunky.

thanks for the kind word fellas.

Caldron is one of my favorites.
beautiful body of water with very few cabins/ bars.
can be great for musky but not always easy to fish.

shoot me an email or call anytime.

I just wanted to add I Guide on High Falls as well.
Another beautiful body of water. A littl larger than Caldron but busier too in the summer.

Hey Whitey I can give you a strong recommendation for Dannyboy and his guideservice, i have caught fish with him and moved fish with him on Caldron.
I'd give him a call and set something up, but do it soon!

Thanks for the love, but I dont guide High or Cauldron.
I would have to go with Dannyboy. I enjoy fishing them, and like one of the previous posters mentioned its really pretty easy system to fish.
But I dont spend enough time on either anymore to feel right about guiding them. Mike Mladenik as well know the system very well, but hes more a multi-species guide. If you want strictly muskie I would go with Danny.

I prefer to stay focused on the good lakes

thanks for all the info everbody. I have fished High Falls quite a few times with some success but thought it would be nice to use a guide to pick their brain and maybe find a few of the not so popular spots to land one. and it's always nice to fish with someone new, then you can get their perspective on what to throw and where.
