Subject: tiller mounting questions

Hey guys got a few questions on a better way to mount my 9.9 yamaha 4 stroke tiller to my 17 ft alumacraft. The boat has a merc opti 135 on it to. The transom had a bracket bolted to it to hold the kicker. The former owner also had a spare gas tank he put on the back casting deck when he ran the motor. The salesman told me that i should not trailer with the kicker on cause it may fall off during transport. So the question is.. How should i mount it so it wont fly off while on the highway? And also since i have a 20+ gallon gas tank in the boat, can i tie into it besides using the the remote gas tank supplied with the motor? Would this cause the opti to have problems? I appreciate any help thanks Dre

You can run off the same fuel tank. Put a T in the mainline. and run a line to each motor. You do need to have a primer bulb in each line after the T going to each motor.

As for mounting, should be able to bolt the motor on the the transom.
