I recently broke my carbon classic on a hook set. It is the older model, and was wondering if fig rig is still in business. Thanks

I was wondering the same thing also. I "heard" that someone(or company) bought it a year or so. I googled fig rig and nothing came up, but my computer is running a little funky.

I think Midwest Manufacturing bought them

I had a rod replaced recently and this is new number I got when I called today

Fig Rig has sold the remaining stock and naming rights to Bill Green. The Fig Rig label will no longer be associated with the rods, with the 'Tooth Tamer' name taking over. The rods were totally redesigned, and Bill is hoping that all of the models are in very soon. There is a chance that they could be here for the New London show this weekend, but not a certainty. He has been/will be at some of the shows, peddling some of the remaining stock leftover from Fig Rig. Thankfully, he has agreed to add an 8'6" mh to the lineup along with a couple more 8'models. He will also be manufacturing a nice line of Walleye rods, and will also work with the 'Deep South' brand for those looking for Bass rods.

Bill will no longer be honoring the lifetime warranty of the original Fig Rig Tooth Tamers, but he will send you a Tooth Tamer for a very reduced price if you break one of the old ones. He is not obligated to do this, so it shows his desire to maintain/gain satisfied customers. The Carbn Classic never did carry a lifetime warranty, but if you contact Bill via the # or email above, he may still have a few Carbon's hanging around, depending on the length.

Do you know if they are still being made in the same plant?

I'll have to talk to this Bill guy. Fig Rigs had a BAD year, and i've been trying (and failing) to get a replacement on one that snapped on my 8th cast with it. Thanks a ton for the info, Jason.
