I've been looking at boats for awhile now but finally decided that it may final be financial possible now. When I do find a boat, how do I determine if it is priced right? I've tried nada-boats, but i think there site is a little vague with options. I've also tried calling a dealership that sells that kind of boat and he said he wouldn't do it.

How do you go about doing your homework on the price of a boat before you buy it?

I looked there. I think there more geared to other boats beside fishing boats. When I tried to price a boat out, they give one choice for a motor and limited options.

Say you have two 2005 motor and one has 100 hrs on it and the other has 350 hrs. Are they worth the same? I highly doubt it. So what do you do?

The condition of the motor can be taken into account in the low/middle/high retail, and every fishing boat builder is listed there. I just worked a show, and both dealers used my 'puter to look at the nada website to price a trade.
