| What size of drill bits do you guys use for this weight kit? Another thing is I got this crazy idea that weighting a manta might work have any of you tried this?[8)] |

|
| Ok I weighted my reef hawg this morning and a manta. The JB is the one where the weight screws in. SO if weighting my manta doesn't work i'm not screwd. Do you guys think weighting that will work well? [:knockout:] Thks |

| What is this JB weight system and where can I get them? I am making my own lures and am playing around with weights now.
Thanks,

| I'm sure rollie and helens has them. This is a great idea whoever came up with them. What they are is little inserts you use as a thread to screw in the weights. I would use a 3/16 bit. I think thats what I used. Check it again because like I said I "think" thats what I used. Drill a little deeper than the insert so that the weight goes all the way in. 3/16 drill bit lets it go down but fit snug so you have extra room for the weight inside the lure. Because the screw thing on the weights is actually longer than the insert. |

| If you want JB weight inserts go the hardware store and ask for brass cabinet inserts- If you have an example the guy at the hardware store will walk you right to them. Other wise explain it to him and he'll figure it out! :) They are substantially cheaper and readily available-
Hope this helps-
