What Muskie landing net graces your rig? Brand and Model, if you will, please! If you check the 'other' category, please list the brand in a post.

Muskie landing nets have been improving steadily, with deeper bags, stronger hoops and yokes, fish friendly knotless bag materials, and more.

Which do you run?

Frabill Power Catch. I have both the one w/ the old style yoke (used as a back-up or a loaner) and the one that latches as you deploy it. Both are good nets, one is just a bit easier to use.

Not sure what model Stowmaster I use for musky but it's the BIG one! I have switched to stowmasters for all my fishing, not only is the folding part nice but the entire net is just a good quality piece of equipement.

i've got a Stowmaster, Tournament Series 116.
it has a 36"x38" hoop, with a 48" deep bag, but folds up to 18"x50".
http://www.stowmaster.net/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=4&i...

i absoultely love the size of this net (a tad bigger than my old Frabill PowerCatch but a tad smaller than the monstrous Big Kahuna) and the fact that it folds away for easy storage in the boat. i hate clutter and this helps tremendously.

if there was one improvement to it, i'd like to see Stowmaster offer a net bag with slightly larger mesh more like what Frabill uses. with the smaller mesh size they use right now, hooks that hang up in the mesh are at times difficult to free; the Frabill knotless bag was trouble-free.

it's very easy and quick to deploy and stow. all in all, a great net.

Frabill power catch, about 4 years old with the bag that lambeau talks about above. Great net!

Currently using Beckman's big Pen Fish Saver net.

Would like to move over to the big Stowmaster. My bro-in-law has a really, really nice Stowmaster and I like his a lot better from the aspect of it folding up and taking up less real estate within the boat. Other than that....I love both nets. I just prefer the Stowmaster purely for it's folding capability and being I'm in a small 1750 boat.

I like the bags, equally, on both nets. I do like the small, tight, mesh netting on my Beckman as it saves a lot more fish's fins from being split as compared to the nets with the bigger mesh netting. The Stowmaster net that my bro-in-law has is very fin-friendly as well.

Used beckman bought off FUSE from another site. I will step up to the coated netting next time. Great net otherwise!

I have a Frabill Power Catch 8425. I think it is a great size net, just a little smaller then the Big Kahuna.

Frabill Powercatch - one size smaller than the Big Kahuna. I love it. Had several fish in it now, still looks brand new. Hooks don't hardly tangle up in the mesh at all, and I haven't had a problem with it splitting fins either.

I have a frabill power catch...not sure on the model number. I like Beckman's net design, but the triangular handle is the selling point for me.

Frabill Kwick Cradle. I like it but it sure does take some room up. Starting to get time for a new bag though. Not sure If you can even get them anymore.

I use the Power Catch as well. The step below the Kahuna. I like the size of the Kahuna when I have a fish on, but the rest of the time.........

Does anybody use a fish cradle anymore? 10 years ago or so these were the hot thing. I still have one in my garage that hasn't seen the light of day for years!

Frabill 8430 (could be 8435) and an unknown brand with coated mesh about 36" deep.

Frabill Power Catch here, as well. Partly for the Pow'r Lok but mostly for the price I found it at.

My Framan if the Frabill big kahuna handle/hoop (old style yoke) and Beckman finsaver pen style (flat bottom) net/bag... I ended up with two new nets within one year and I made the net "I" wanted. with the components. I gave the other hybrid(Beckman hoop/handle with Frabil net/bag) to a friend.

+1. I have no complaints with my Beckman. I looked at the Frabil when I was buying a net but I thought it was too heavy. Since I fish alone the Beckman was a better choice. I like the small mesh in the net too.

Frabill power catch for me - The only other net I have used is the Beckman and I have to say that I am not that impressed with the small mesh size. Hooks get buried in that stuff when a musky thrashes. It makes it hard to get at the fish when they roll in the net while still hooked. I have had to cut hooks out of the mesh just to get at a muskie before in the net it was so wrapped up.

Frabill Big Kahuna.

Big net for Big Fish. The huge bag is the ultimate in the water livewell and the net is very easy on fish. The huge hoop also allows for a bit of human error in the netting process....fewer hooks in the bag or rim heading in.

I had used an old dotline with a beckman net until I got a fish too big for it. Now I have a Beckman pen.
