What is the size difference btw a Calcutta 700 Te, Saltist 40, and Saltist 20. Just trying to get a ball park estimate on how big of a saltist I want to get my hands on for the upcoming season.

thanks

Dan

Dan, I'm at home now and don't have the specs in front of me. Saltist 40 and the Calcutta 700 are fairly close in size and weight going by my subjective memory. Not sure about the Saltist 20. If you want to call me tomorrow at R&H Musky Shop I can pull those reels off the wall and give you all the info you need. I know we weighed one reel today on the postal scale to get specs for a possible new item in the catalog and it was several pounds. Sheesh, where does it end?

Pete - is R&H going to bring some Saltist reels to tthe Miwaukee show. I'm interested in handling and possibly purchasing a 20 or 30 with the 6.1 retreive.

Some photo comparisons would be great if anyone has the time.

If it helps at all, I could post a comparison picture between a saltist 30 and a Luna 300? Let me know if that would help and I will post them tonight.

Here you go. Saltist is a bit bigger, but not too big to palm.

Sorry, I didn't get back to this topic for a couple days. Yes, I believe we will be bringing the Saltist reels to Milwaukee. You might also want to take a look at the Shimano Tekota 500 reels.

So how much bigger is the Saltist 40 than the Salist 30? I read the specs and it said the 40 is about 4 ounces heavier but I'm wondering if I can palm the reel.
