Here is a sneak peek at my new Hairy Plopper. Been working on this one for about 4+ months now. Slowly but surely and it should be ready by spring . My 4yr old son named it so don't blame me!

This will have a gold plated plopper blade on the front, two flash skirts in back with a screw attachment for a grub tail (included) but you can put on any tail you like with the cork screw attachment. Also have another new monster topwater coming soon with a big single plopper blade in front and a double in the rear (both gold plated for a little extra flash) Both of these are about 10" in length. Hope you like them!

James

Looks like a great bait! To be honest I was going to buy it just for the name alone after I read the thread title.

Looks a lot like a Marv's Hairy Bug which were great baits but I don't think they're in production in anymore. Head spinning topwaters have the advantage in weeds, where a weed dangling from a hook won't foul the spinner. I also think they encourage the fish not to strike too far back and miss. Finally baits of this design hook about as well as a bucktail... no bulky body to get in the way. Nice work!

Hey Phil. Do you have a picture of this Marv's Hairy Bug? LOL thought I had something on the newer side of things. I guess this will join the pile of other topwaters out there

There are a couple in the buy/sell/trade. Here's the link for you, James.

As far as production goes, I'm not sure. They are in the latest issue of Rollie and Helen's. That's where I got mine from. I just bought it last summer.

Oh, I think I have seen those but have not heard a lot about them. They look good though! I thought you meant they had the tinsel skirt and tail combo with the plopper blade...
