| Looked at this boat at the muskie show as have heard lots of good things about it. My question is where do you put all your muskie gear. I checked the front compartments and look a bit small so is it under rear deck? I usually have all my baits in "3700" boxes and was wondering where the rest of you store these things in this boat? Thanks. |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | On the Tuffy Esox X190, you have a back deck extension that includes storage on both sides of the back pedestal. Plenty of room for as many plano's as you'd like. Here are a couple pictures of the back deck extension. I also store the plano's in my storage areas in front of the consoles and have tackle box under one of the consoles. Plenty of room for everything.
The pictures are actually of Lambeau's boat. His setup is the same as the boat at the Chicago Musky show.

| there is a ton of storage in the X-190, even without the rear deck extension.
i store 6 or 7 plano boxes in the smallest of the front compartments in my boat, and there's still room for various extras such as line spools, rod weights, etc. lying around on the side. the large storage bay on the left side could hold a ton of plano boxes if that's how you store your lures. i use that bin for my rain gear, spotlight, lifejackets, etc.
the rear deck extension offers even more storage as shown, although truth be told i have very little in mine - just a couple of trolling rod holders and my fire extinguisher because there's enough room in the standard compartments.
i keep a tackle box up against the front of each console. there's enough clearance between the console and the storage lockers that you can still open the lids without needing to move a dunwright/lakewood sized box.

I was very happy with my Esox Magnum for many, many years!
After last year's Muskie Show at State Fair and this year's Chicago Show, I now find myself figuring out where I would want my new electronics to be mounted!

Location: Greenfield, WI | My major dislike is that I have been more than happy with the performance my Esox Magnum, which is paid for.
I have always said that there are many boats that are more expensive, but until now, none that I thought that I would want to fish from in lieu of my Magnum!
The purchase of the new Tuffy X190 will put me back into a financing mode!
The X190 is awesome, especially seeing the boat at the Chicago Show which was nearly the same colors as my own! |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Mr. Marine has a dual console X190 at the Osh Kosh show right now. I believe the dealer in Chicago was selling the 200 Mercury OptiMax powered X190 on the floor there at about $36K without a kicker. |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | I had my X-190 on Big Bay of Vermillion a couple days this past season and in a few other windy situations on some larger northern Wisconsin lakes and I thought it did an awesome job. It really cuts the waves well. As for fishing in heavier winds, well, imho again, since it's a lower profile boat, I felt it exceeded my expectations. But my main comparison is coming from a previous higher side fiberglass rig and an aluminum rig. This rig is definitely the cats ass between a bass boat and a deep v. Can handle bigger water better than a bass boat because it still retains that deep v but has a lower profile than say a Ranger Fisherman series(other than a 618) or any other comparable rig of that caliber . |
