| In one of the last threads I suggested that a guy use spay-on Envirotex, since that post I've had quite a few questions about where and how much.
The link is www.creative-wholesale.com They have good deals on Envirotex up to 2-Gallon size. I think the spray-on is $10 a can. I take a can along with me on all of all of my trips, and it has saved many lures from destruction. It is great to use when you buy a lure that has a crappy top coat to begin with. Just lightly sand or steel wool and then spray-on a couple coats out of the can. Check out the rest of the site, they have lots for the hobbyist/lure-maker.

Location: Chicago | Just be sure to order more than one can. I took your advice and plan on using it for a few projects. One can is 4.62 and the shipping on that one can is 8.41. Another question for ya I plan to use it on some various salmon and walleye baits. With the smaller hooks i would think the clr. coat would hold up well, but hows its durability on musky baits? I have some beat up choppers and pacemakers I'm thinking about customizing. |

| The spray-on is no where close to the bottled. Like I said, I use it for emergency touch-ups and walleye and bass lures, and use it to spray over hook rash spots. I will give hook-rubbed muskie lures 3 coats of the spray-on and it does a good job of protecting. I don't know how many coats it would take to equal one coat of regular etex, but that isn't really what it's designed to do. |
