Muskie Fishing -> Fishing Reports and Destinations -> Isle Bay-Mille Lacs

Had a chance to spend a couple of hours on the water, and had three "encounters". First fish hit a orange and black Little Ernie I was twitching in about 10 feet of water over weeds. Didn't feel real big, but I never saw her. On for a few cranks of the reel and then gone.

Second one was a small muskie which took a swipe at the same lure right at the boat and missed (maybe because the lure was out of the water![:blackeye:]

Third fish hit while trolling a jointed black ShallowRaider with orange belly. Heavy fish. Again I never saw her, but certainly the heaviest fish I've ever felt. I set the hook and nothing even moved. I felt the fish shake his head a few times, and then gone.[:((]

Anyway, no fish in the boat, but a pretty productive morning. Wish I had more time up there and I can't wait to get back. Anyone else spending any time on Mille Lacs? How are you doing???

Bill

I was out with Duck on Sunday and we had pretty much the same experience except bonus Walleye and Pike.

10 ft where ever you can find cabbage.
