Please call my toll free line at 888-294-7643.
I don't believe the 60's are made anymore??
Any information in obtaining one would be appreciated!! Thanks |

| I haven't seen any of the 60# models for a couple of years--my belief is because it causes too much harm to the fish to hang them vertically by the lower jaw to weigh them,(very likely to tear the arteries loose from the gills in the fish.) You could offset this by rigging a pair of handles to a cradle to clip the Boga to after cradling the fish (and then subtracting the weight of the musky from the total shown.)
I have a 30# model, but only use it to keep people's fingers out of their mouths & gills while taking a photo--always support the fish horizontally to prevent injury. The big complaint I have against using them as a landing aid is that with a longer bait (like a 10" Jake or Believer) if the fish is hooked by just the rear treble hook, the other trebles are in the region of your wrist and forearm when you go to clamp the Boga onto the jaw--my jacket was snagged once when a fish started to thrash...now, I just use the Boga AFTER the hooks are out!

| Al,
i agree with you 100%. The reason I'm looking for a 60#er is that the handle is significantly longer. That rear treble hook-up is extemely dangerous on the 30's. I like the boga to control the fish while removing the hooks, and after that we release in the water. Sometimes we pick up a large fish (leech lip lock) and support for a picture. The nets are hard on the fish fins and they sometimes ruin a bait. Cradles may be the way to go, I don't have any experience with them. Thanks |

| From what I have heard, the 60# Bogagrip production was ceased due to the large demand for the others. They couldn't keep up and temporarily ceased making them. That was quite a while ago, so I think they are not making them at all.
A while back, a post was made on Muskie Central about extending the handle. I can't remember who it was, but they offered the plans for free. You might want to check it out. I have the 30# Boga and always wear a thick glove when using it. |

| What I was told at rollie and helen's is that the 60lb. was considerably bigger and cost a great deal more to make. The guy fell ill and he quit making the 60lb. They said he had no plans to remake them either. Too bad.[:((] |
