Here is my version of a soft plastic spinnerbait. I have been selling my spinner arms in 7 sizes for almost 6 years and now have had 2 larger sizes for this last year. The best part is you can remvove it anytime and replace the body. A soft plastic spinnerbait is only a one or few fish bait.

For 2009 I will have flexible inline version that work on all baits, hard or soft. Here are some pics of them. PM or post if you want more info. I have a list of the shows I will be attending on my website. Josh.

*Before anyone else argues that they will open and are not as good as a solid connection, I have tested and used them for many years and none of my thousand+ of customers have ever had any problems. The musky sizes especially are not going to open on a fish and can be closed if you are that worried about it.

Here is my own thread about my baits and I was not criticizing anyone's baits. I guess that discussing new products don't work here, only showing praise.

Nice looking product.

I think your comments on the other post were "oh that looks a lot like mine except look here is how I do it different and better"

It's called professional courtesy, if someone posts news about their new bait/product, keep your comments about THEIR product rather than "hijacking" and promoting your own.

I don't think you are a bad guy, just figured I'd help school ya even though you might already know better yourself!

PEACE
Again, nice product! I'll be looking for you at the shows. Take care and good luck!

The Kickin Slab won't work like that

The kickin slab is one of the best baits I have tested on the wire spinner. I caught a 42" muskie, had 3 follows and missed a 5th in one day at the vermilion outing alone. It was one of the best baits there as only 2 muskies were caught that I know about by our group. I also have tried them on rapalas, other soft plastics (bulldawg types, and other soft crankbaits, dunwrights, etc) and they work perfect. I did a few pool demos with them this spring, just finally started making the wire version as I have been too busy making all my other baits.

The solid spinner arms also work on almost any bait including almost all soft plastics, many crankbaits (including radtke minnows). Don't say they won't work when you have not used them. I have done many tests (speed, size, weight, etc) and both the arms and the inline work great on tons of baits.

do you have any concerns about the connection between the lure and spinner arm being opened by a fish?...a split ring could work its way opened too...to me seems like the sliding sleeve that larry dahlberg used on his show about making baits would be the most secure for big fish. i think he made his for halibut or tuna. not trying to knock your basic idea...very versatile!

The Kickin Slab won't work like that

in fact, it does. i saw Josh demonstrate it in the lake, and it swims just fine behind the blades. it makes for a very intriguing action. i wouldn't go quite so far as to say "it was one of the best baits" (at the Vermilion fall outing) just because it caught one fish, but it's a fine looking bait and apparently it works.

I have never lost a fish, large or small due to the arm opening. I mostly use my very small and much weaker #1 arms and have caught many fish over 30" on the small ones, I even had a customer catch a 53" pike in canada on a small arm and it held up fine. The musky size is very strong and nearly impossible for a fish to open. It may be possible, but I just don't see how they could actually get the leverage to open it. I guess you have to see and use one to know what I am saying. I have many customers that have that worry, but after they try them, they understand what I am saying. I have not heard of even one fish being lost on the thousands of arms I have sold. For the people that are really worried, the clip part can always be temporarily crimped closed too.

It will not pull apart either, unless you are using a few hundred pound cable and have a few hundred pounds of pull. I tested it with rope and me running and pulling on it. I tried a few times and absolutely could not pull it apart, so almost no fish, especially any musky will not pull it a part.

Just thread a short piece of stainless spring that's open on both ends around the base, reversing it to remove the spinner arm. It'll lock it down and no fish will be able to open it no matter what.
