Is this bait worth the $$ or should I stick to the gaint jackpot. Any other walk the dog baits that are the real deal?

IMO Weagles are among the best topwaters around. Good tough heavy lure that won't get blown out of the water and throws a lot of water to boot! I think some guys here have some pictures of musky taken with the Weagle this year that will prove my point Some real hogs taken this year! You can also Search "Weagle" and find a lot of posts.

I've never used the Satisfier or Jackpot... but I can say that the Weagle is definitely worth it...

Weagle basically forces you to slow down... and it makes such a nice wide sweep... I now cant allow myself not to throw a weagle when the conditions are perfect... I probably will have a Satisfier for 2009... and I'll see how I like the Satisfier... just need to throw Homewreckers more often before I can say anything about it...

I love the Weagle. I'm not sure what they are running now, but they are worth the $25-$30 they cost. They are built tough enough that the only thing you will need to replace on them is the hooks you cut from fish. Great sound, and I can't think of one fish that I have lost after it hit the Weagle. I have had a few miss, but that's not the bait's fault.

I don't like the sound of that little birdy telling us to get them while we can...

By the way, caught my biggest fish so far on one this year (I'm trying to photo-compete with Lambeau but he still has me beat, lol).

I've thrown several different WTD topwaters: Phat Boys, Phat Daddy's, Jackpots, Mass Marauder, Dunwright Top Dancer, Hoodini's, and Weagles.

I like both the Hoodini and the Weagle. Similar swoosh sounds, good hookups. I watched Reelwise catch almost half our fish this summer on a Weagle, including his 50". Every one of those fish had the bait either T-boned or at least hooked very well. We had a bunch of fish miss the bait (i.e. jump over it... stupid fish), but none that were hooked and lost. I will be adding at least one (Weagle) to my arsenal this winter at the Chicago Show.

Weagles and Wabulls of various sizes should be available through retailers at the Chicago show, but Luke is not planning to have a separate Muskie Mojo booth there this year.

some special color patterns "may" also be available here on MuskieFirst in the coming weeks and at the Swap meet...

Weagle all the way. Year in and year out, many, many fish are caught in my boat on weagles. Like mentioned above, they hook very well. I have only lost one fish that I've actually hooked on the bait. The rest are usually getting hooks cut out of them (buy extra 3/0 short shank mustads).

Bummer, but thanks for the heads-up, Mike. I'll keep an eye out here. Tri-Esox must still have their partial exhibitor list from last year as Luke/Muskie Mojo is still on there.

You'll find that the Weagle is far more consistent from bait to bait than the Homewrecker. Both in terms of how they're made and how they run.

I don't really care for my Homewrecker. Seems like a well built lure but I just can't get it to do what I want it too, so it ends up back in the box each time out. I'm just going to get the 'real' thing and buy a weagle. Seen Mike Hulbert work one in the boat this summer and I was impressed with the action.

Mike is right. I wont be able to make the Chicago show this year, but I will be offering some here on MuskieFirst in the coming weeks. These will be in new color patterns that I have never offered before.

Now I just need to think of some patterns...

There are three WTD topwaters I throw and that I would suggest to anyone asking...
1. Weagle
2. Weagle
3. Weagle

Weagle. I have one Jackpot that I carry in addition to the Weagles. All the other WTD's have been sold.
