I havent been in the hunt for long but ive been bitten and cant seem to shake the "fever" Glad to have found a forum full of people who feel the same way. Its a nice change from the bass fisherman that seem to rule most fishing forums.
Not that there's anything wrong with those people... the green fish are just smaller.... |

Location: Wallingford, KY | Glad to see a lot of newbies from KY getting on board. I've been keeping up with the forum for about a year and since all of these new guys from KY are registering up on here, I have to. Welcome to all and don't forget to take the survey KY dnr has posted on their website. Great to be finally getting a shot at getting our limit size raised. Greg Thomas has done a lot for this to come about and we should all be thankful. CPR is great and I think has been realing helping with the quality of our fisheries, but the interest of our DNR would help also. The rewards are showing up, just look at our new state record. |

Esox, I agree.
I usually fish the river around Irvine and try to make a trip to green, buckhorn or cave once or twice a month (and I hope we can get size limits increased) Always looking for someone to fish with on those trips... let me know if any of you guys wanna hook up for a day.
Ill warn you though, I dont have a large boat, just a small jon, works good for me on the river and places like scotts creek at the Cave or otter creek and confluence at buckhorn. If u dont wanna use my boat (i understand lol) id be more than happy to help with gas.

Location: Wallingford, KY | Thanks for the invite Muskiecut. Would work out good, I usually borrow a friends small boat to do the river fishing. I've got a 19' Alumacraft that will fish 3 casters easily. Some real good access to the licking river near me for a small boat & still going to hit the Cave a few more times after this weekend. I'm still suffering a shoulder injury from last fall so my casting is very limited. I would like to try some sucker fishing on the Cave. I've never tried it, and all the talk from the northern guys has got me very interested in trying it. |
