Jigs/rubber and gliders would be my choices. Ultimate depth control with jigs and gliders for slack water . Just my 2 cents. Steve

I have had great luck in the past on smaller rivers with a white undertaker, with glides if you position yourself right you can work them in the same spot for an extended amount of time due to the current...I also would detune a crankbait so it would runaway from shore with the current and could work the deep holes with having to recast...funny the techniques you come up with as a kid.....
