Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | Has anybody had any success trolling these over weed beds or humps ?
I've tried this a few times in order to take a break but never caught anything.maybee 2 hrs.total
They sure do make a noise.

SuperModels actually troll a little bit better IMO you can run them between 3.5 and 5 mph no problem. One thing I do is add a small bell sinker to the front of my leader to limit line twist and catch floaties. If you want to run a bit deeper just add more weight, I have run as much as 5oz with good results. |

Location: Norway | I also read that article in MHM and in stead of making a keelweight device he described, I use a deep-paravan. See image. This gets it down deeper and prevents linetwist.
Its kinda a very simplified Dipsydiver.

Location: Birch Run | I read that same article and that keel weight used to keep the line twist down, he makes by hand, a bottom bouncer will do the same thing. Snip some wire off the weight end and take the snapswivel off the other arm. Then put a large crosslok snap on. I trolled them for a little bit with a 1lb weight in front with two church flex clips and the modified btm bouncer and worked good. |

| We have caught 5 muskies this year trolling the cowgirls. They were all with a 1oz. trolling weight attached above a 130# flouro trolling leader and the lure 70-100 ft. back. Missed a few too, not sure why. The fish that were netted just inhaled the lure! Make sure to have the hook pick ready to pop out that back hook, good luck.

| With the added weight attached, what depths were you mainly trolling in? I've caught a couple trolling cowgirls with no added weight. Thanks |

Location: Verona, WI | I've done it a handful of times with pretty good luck. I bought the Cabela's trolling weights and they worked pretty well.

| I have used them and have caught pike, but not muskies. That was a very short time of use. They have the rigs at the sportsman in appleton. good luck |
