Posts: 355 Location: Wausau, Wisconsin | There is no doubt, this is an excellent tournament. I know the organizers were open minded and took in suggestions with care and I think that is great. It was very well organized and I have to say, this was a curtious group of anglers. Fishing the river things are tight and as I slowed down to idle past boats, they waved us on to save us time. This was the case with several boats even at close range. That was awesome, I've rarely seen manners on the water like that. I can't wait to come back and fish amongst a great group of guys. A very enjoyable experience indeed. If you like fishing tournaments or are thinking about getting into one, definately consider the Hodag.

| This was my first Hodag, and my partners fourth, we are definately coming back. We fished Moens and I am wondering if TJ got any pictures from the registration station on Fourth Lake? We caught the 40" and didn't have a camera (doesn't that always happen?) but they took some pics with theirs. | |||

Posts: 968 Location: N.FIB | has the hodag and the pauls pro am always been on the same weekend,I just talked to a buddy of mine who got into the pro am and he said they didn`t fill up the tourney, only like 115 boats for the pro am.Maybe it would be a good idear not to have them on the same weekend so maybe both tourneys will fill up next year.sounds like the hodag is better, more for first place, and less money to enter,he also said they had to drop first from 15,000 to like 11,000.

Posts: 686 Location: Tomahawk, Wisconsin | Another Hodag in the books, as usual it was a great time, hell; I was just happy to be out on the water for a few days!!! Congrats to Mike and Shane on taking home the big check!! Congrats also to Billy and Jeff, way to stick em guys!! We had a trolling motor issue on sat. and it was just not our day. This is the fourth different lake family I have fished and have had success on all, thanks for keeping this tourny in great shape John and crew. See ya next year!!

| CASTING55, the Hodag used to be the weekend before the Paul's Pro Am but we chose to move our tournament back due to the Fall Ride in Tomahawk. The Fall Ride has gotten so big that there are no hotel rooms available for our anglers so we moved it back a weekend to accomodate. John | |||

| I may have not heard the entire announcement, I heard that the dates were picked and if we signed up for the tournament before the end of the year there was a discount on the entry fee but never heard the dates announced for next years tournament. This was my first year in the tournament and had alot of fun, and will definately be back next year. | |||

| Yes there is an early bird discount. If you send in your money before Jan 1st 09, you will receive a $50 discount. The dates for next years event are Sept. 18, 19 and 20. We struggled with when to have next years event. It was either going to be the same weekend as the fall ride or likely the same weekend as duck hunting. For the safety of our fisherman, we chose to have it the same weekend as fall ride. This was not my call. If you are planning on fishing and need a hotel room, book a room ASAP! | |||
