Just curious if any of you guys still pound the water into the night during the fall? I've heard during the cisco spawn its a great time to night fish, but what about pre cisco spawn or a non cisco based system?

I think it would be foolish to not fish at night in the fall. just slow down your bait retrieve. stick to straight running baits, cranks, dcg's...etc.

I agree with HappyMusky, with my experience last night as she hit the DCG being slow rolled off the deep weed edge.

i hate to double post, but i would feel bad if i didn't say this.

PLEASE, IF YOU ARE GOING TO FISH AT NIGHT MAKE SURE SAFETY IS YOUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY. NOT JUST YOUR OWN SAFETY BUT BE CONSIDERATE TO THOSE WHO MAY BE AROUND YOU.

This is the time of year where an already bad accident can turn fatal in a matter of minutes.
