Location: Wheeling, IL. | My Friend Bruce (sportb5) and I went up to fish with Jonesie this weekend. Thought Mill Lacs was the destination, but due to the conditions and the lack of production lately, Steve opted for what he calls "Little Canada". Friday brought us a beautiful day that lead into a fantastic night. In the first half hour I boated a 35". It was pretty quiet until dusk when Bruce nailed a 43 that hit three times before hooking up. A short time later I hooked into a 42, and a 41. Bruce nailed a 37 and the last one was Joneise hooking a 40 that I lost on the turn. 6 fish in the boat in 8 hours! Unfortunately, Saturday had a cold front come in with the temps down about 17 degrees. had 5 lazy follows but no takers.
All in all a fantastic trip!.
