Posts: 32879 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Did THIS happen. On a strike, fish smacks the bait, bait comes in backwards with the leader and line threaded through the REAR hook eye and split ring, and that thing is cranked down SOOO tight I can't even imagine the line getting through it. I can't even imagine the line getting through it. behold the power of tension. the upside of using quality line/leader is that it didn't snap or cut and leave the bait in the fish's yap!

Posts: 1887 Location: syracuse indiana | could the back eyelet have just a smigin of space in the top of the eye and the tension and a bit of slack just got it in there....bill

Posts: 32879 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | It's tight as can be, couldn't get it out of there to save my hide, but it obviously made it's way in there!

Posts: 32879 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Through the split ring and the hook eye, I'm not sure even Houdini could do that.. More on the new line tomorrow, so far it's been impressive. Very tight weave, spools well and so far, no fraying at all.
