Hey guys. I have been looking into the new St Croix Legend Tournament Sling Blade rod(supposed to be for the big bucktails). I also noticed that they have came out with a new premier model that has all the same specifications(action, rod weight, ounce rating) as the sling blade rod expect that the premier is an 8 footer versus the 8'6" slingblade. The premier one is $180 versus the sling blade which is $330. My question is what would be the reason to buy the legend tournament sling blade rod over the premier of the same specifications? Thanks!

I got a sling blade about a month ago and love it. The sensitivity is the best I have ever seen. I had an 8 foot premier from about 4 years ago and it was a good rod but not nearly as sensitive as the legend tournament rods.

A sensitive musky rod, that's an oxymoron. The legend tournament will be a lot lighter plus carry lifetime warranty.
