Location: WI | I was just wondering if the launch in the park is the only access, and do they really lock the gate at 9pm? I was there last weekend and decided to turn around (which took a while in that tiny lot) after seeing the boat "ramp" there. |

Location: Minnesota | It has been hit or miss the the past few years if the gate is even open at all at the park. I think the guy across the river from the landing is the one with the key whop opens and closes it.
The access has gotten so bad that I won't even go back there anymore. Even though I hate to pay to launch a boat, Little Wolf Resort is the only place I will put a boat in on that lake now. |

Location: Hugo, MN | These guys are right...go see Tom and Sandy at Little Wolf Resort. Better launch and better parking. They also have good frozen pizzas and cheese bread that we'll take a lunch break for. Sandy also mixes good Captain Cokes...if you're still hanging out well after dark. The lake itself is loaded with fish, but has a few big ones still. We've been up almost yearly for 15 years, and keep coming back. Great lake to take a newbie and catch a respectable first muskie. I'm already doing the math on when I can get my two kids up there for their first. I wish a two year old could handle a baitcaster. |
