| Here are a few shots taken during last week's trip to LOTW. I think we timed it about perfectly, catching good numbers of fish while enjoying great weather. We did have one guy put a #7 treble right through his kneecap, but that is his story to tell. We met for lunch each day and grilled, which was a lot of fun, but also a good way to share information. We all wanted to make sure everyone was catching fish, so we kept no secrets from each other. Hope you enjoy the shots, and feel free to comment. | There was nobody named Gene in our group of 10, but maybe he went to the Muskie School held a week or two before our group got up there, I'm not sure. I think I'd have remembered someone from Kentucky. | |||

| We were up the same week and heard you guys on ch. 68 reporting your fish, etc. Based on what we heard, you're being modest when you say "good numbers." Hope the guy's knee is OK. That sounded pretty serious in real time. | |||

| I haven't heard from the guy who got the hook in his knee, but he fished later that day and finished the trip, so I'm sure he was fine. He caught a couple of the larger fish of the trip. I guess they had quite the ordeal, as I believe they were fishing quite a ways from where we were camping at the time. I guess they pulled into some place you can access from the lake, but they had no Novocaine. As they were walking toward the place some indian guys yelled "Cut his leg off". That kind of gave them a bad feeling about the place. Regarding the radio and the fish, we try to help each other out as much as possible, so everybody on the trip catches fish. We do the same thing when we fish the Muskies Inc. Chapter Challunge, which may be why we usually do so well. Some people are just so secretive about what baits they're using and where they're fishing. Why? Wouldn't you want your buddies to catch fish too? There were some locations on our trip in which all 5 boats in our party eventually fished them. My brother and I even fished one without even getting a follow, then had another boat in our group go through there a bit later and pull 3 fish out. Just had to be in the right places when the windows opened up. I did mention our numbers in another thread, but I see no harm in mentioning them again. We had 10 guys in our group and caught 88 fish. 5 were under 30 inches, and 8 were 50 inches or better. Our average was over 42 inches, which was actually a bit surprising. Hope you guys did well too. Sounds like we were there at the right time. | |||
