Location: Yahara River Chain | PVC pipe would be too heavy. Too much weight because it has to be thick to withstand burying. What do they know what you are using for? Instead use drain pipe. That is used above ground and is much thinner.
I do like the idea about the heavy cardboard tube that comes from carpet cores. Might have a hard time finding ends unless they come with them? Also you may not be able to get the size you need and the size available is to large. |

| call a few local sporting goods stores that sell rods...often times they have the tubest that the rods came in, in a back room .. free... |
