Subject: DCG Rod

Hello,
Currently I am using a St. Croix Premier 7 ft MH for the DCG. I was wondering if my 7'9 H Legend Tournament would be a better choice for these big blades. Thanks

My honest opinion is no. The tip is way too soft for these baits for me. I have searched every rod for the ultimate dcg rod. Off the shelf you cant beat the Lamiglas 8 ft XH. But if you want the ultimate rod, either wait for it to come out in the fall from st croix or have thorne bros build you a rod.

My opinion, Rob Gabriele

And what rod might that be from St Croix this fall? Last year was the 7'9" XXXH, this year they came out with the 8 FT Hvy Premier but at 2-6 oz I did not feel like it handled DCG's all that well. I did hear great reports on the 8'6" XH Premier for DCG's. Just wondering what they are coming out with next that is affordable to the masses.
