Going to Leech this weekend. Any news? Weeds, rocks, Portage, Sucker, Walker, etc.? Thanks.

Fished Leech a day and a half on the 14th and 15th. Wasn't able to really hit the water hard as it was a family trip, and had my little nephew in the boat most the time. When I arrived, I was told by the resort owner that the muskies were slow. Had minimal action on both rocks and weeds (weeds in Portage were there, but very short and sparce). Had a strike on the south end the evening of the 14th that tore my bulldawg apart, and had a hot follow from a 50" class fish on a mid lake reef that spooked at boat-side with the flat calm conditions. I did manage to catch a nice 36" pike off Diamond Pt. Water temps were very close to 70 degrees.

Got out Sat AM 8-11, Sat PM 7-8, and Sun AM 10-12 on Leech. No muskies in any form. I had a small northern blow up on a Jackpot and that was it. Sat AM conditions were perfect. Overcast, medium wind, full moon the night before. I fished Walker Bay weeds and breaks, Grand Vu weeds, and Kabekona breaks. Water is very clear and the cabbage weeds look good this year. Similar to what we had a couple of years ago.
