I haven't been out chucking baits nearly as much as I normally do since we are expecting our first baby on August 7th and I've been diligent in getting the babies room and new office as ready to go.......well, my little princess has decided that she would like to be an acrobat when she grows up and decided about a week ago to flip from the standard head down presentation to breach. Now it appears that a C-Section will be in the even nearer future since they would not want my wife to go into actual labor. Oh well, my wife and I think that she will do better with the C-Section anyways since she admits openly how big of a wuss she is with pain. My mom was breach and she claims that breach babies turn out the best! LOL! Anyways, I pretty much have only been lurking on the site since I've been so busy and thought I would give an update on my little princess. Clearly she is like her dad and does things her way and is not afraid to be outside the box. Hope all of you are having a successful season and hopefully I'll be able to get out with some of you again in the fall when things are settling down a bit. Tight lines!

good luck! Our baby was breach until a week before due, then we did some voodoo and stuff and he flipped back over. Then again, we had the baby at home, no drugs, etc, so we are kind of kooky anyways, but we ended up with a perfect baby boy two weeks ago anyways!

My wife had a c section and we had no idea how serious an operation of was. I was in the room with her, but behind a screen that divided her head from her body. After the baby was born, I went to the other side of the operating room to see my daughter. My wife asked me what she looked like and then I TURNED AROUND TO ANSWER HER. Big mistake! My wifes insides were out of her body and on a table next to her. All the nurses rushed to catch me before I hit the floor. Still wish I had never seen that. Also wish I had read a book about it first too. My wife took 6 months to get back to feeling good.

Good luck to you, your wife and your new boss.

Derek- Be there with her for the section. I was with Tammy for all 3 of hers. And that is her uterus they will place up on her for a brief time, just to make sure all is well as far as bleeding is concerned. By the way, I was breech, ase first, and I turned out just perfect!
Good Luck and congrats to you and your bride!

Medic, the one thing you will notice about a C-section person is when the leave the house they go out the window as opposed the door.

My first two kids were breach, the doctor actually turned them around by hand. That was a very uncomfortable thing to watch, let alone be a part of. It takes alot of working to get them righted. Most doctors won't do it. My oldest had the cord wrap around his leg and he got stuck. I will spare those details but he is fine.

Good luck and you will have a new little fishing princesss soon enough. I only have three more words of advice for you. Ninja Nun School.

the oldest had his cord wrapped around his neck three times. i was scaried to death. there was no needs to be, but the fears of a fledgling father won't be quilled by the professional knowledge of dr's and nurses. it'll scare the dookie out of you.

kids, and moms are amazingly resilent. i caution you to never look at a child actually exit the birth canal. you'll never have anything to offer that thing once it yawns big and wide. ignorance is bliss in that circumstance.

best wishes and prayers for you and yours.
