I have fished many of the lakes in Vilas but never Big St Germain. I have an opportunity to get there in late August and wondering what you guys think of the lake. #'s , Size, Boat Traffic, Patterns, other species you targeted, any other likes or dislikes. You don't have to give me a fishing report per say, just curious if it's a lake you enjoyed fishing and why or why not.
Thanks in Advance for the replies!

I've fished that lake the last 5 years(not this year) for a week. I wouldn't say I had great success but did get some and it still holds my PB, 48". You need to fish early or late there, lots of boat traffic during the day. I never felt keyed in on any kind of pattern so I can't help you with what to use or colors, etc. If i went back again I'd spend more time on the weed flat on the east side of the lake though.

Good Luck.
