who has had good success with this color and what kind of lure were you using?

I saw three tapes yesterday, two from Jim Saric ('musky hunter tactics' and 'muskies at the next level') and one from Bob Mehsikomer (muskies in the shield). In these three tapes, the hot colors were chartreuse with black spots, black bucktails with chartreuse blades and black bucktails with orange blades.

I have noticed that the jerkbaits I have in this color work well but I wonder why this color is so good. Is it because of the flash created by the chartreuse paint (Jlong discussed this a while back in a thread about yellow versus chartreuse) is so great, or because of the aggressive color (contrast of chartreuse and black), ... ? Also for bucktails these two combinations seem to be hot for musky (and for pike in Europe). I wonder why that is.

Has anybody got any idea's about this? I know the lures in the video's were bucktails (buchertail willow bladed straight bucktails and tandem bucktailspinnerbaits), reef hawgs and suicks, twin tail hi fin teasertails, maybe even pigs.

The waters varied from cristal clear to moderately dark
