Some folks are showing up tonight, and if you like you can stop by the Hideout for a beverage and some Muskie talk. Thursday, we will meet at 7 AM in the Comfort Inn lobby to talk over the day and head out on the water. At dusk, we will meet again in the Comfort Inn lobby to discuss results for the day, and probably head out to a local watering hole for a couple beverages. Friday night we meet here, at the Hideout, for 'Pot Luck'dinner and beverages and the fire ring. Sue is making venison Sloppy Joes, and Ricepicker has supplied a beginning stock of libations added to what Sue will get for the cooler. Bring a few, and expect to talk muskies until pretty late. Bring mosquito spray, you'll need it! Saturday night we meet again at the Comfort Inn lobby for big fish awards and pizza on MuskieFIRST after which some folks will head back to the Hideout for a fire ring get together. Sunday everyone is on their own fishing or headed home.

If you are in the area, stop in at the Hideout or the Comfort Inn and join us. Everything is free, everyone is welcome, and we always have a good time. Attendance with the tough weather. flooding, and gas prices will be less than last year, but we'll still have a pretty good crew on the water.

The Hideout is on Foster Lane, about 6 miles east of Rhinelander on 8/47. Foster Lane is on the north side of 8/47 and is a loop road, so if you miss the first exit, watch for the second. Can't miss the Hideout, it's a big gray place with about 12 solar garden lights and a Worrall's Hideout sign on a tree in the front yard.

Hey, I've been to that Hideout. It was fun.

Hope everybody has a great time and Bob Dourlain gets a ride in a boat. Without me there, you know the Conklin's will get to bed a little earlier.

Looks like Mike and I won't need an afternoon nap on the water. Thanks Kevin!

I will be on the water all day on Saturday with a co-worker from Waupaca. If you see the Tundra give a shout out! I might have to stop by the Hideout for a bevarage and some stories!

Good luck and keep it safe!

Oh one more thing. Make absolute sure you don't have any weeds on your trailer

Everyone is on the water except Norm and me, but as of noon, we'll have a wet keel, too. Fishing was slow yesterday, but everyone saw a couple. We had a low 40" class fish blast a Weagle at boatside, but smacked it into the rig, and no dice. Saw a 45 or so at dusk, hot and looked ready to eat, just ran out of space.

FREE Dinner at the Hideout on 8 East tonight, at dusk. Bring a beer or two, and get ready to eat some of Sue's Venison Sloppy Joes. FREE Dinner again here tomorrow night with big fish awards and some cool prizes distributed, fish fry, pizza, and some brats on the grill.

Hwy 8/47 East out of Rhinelander about 6 miles, Foster Lane on the North side of the road, big gray house. Join us!

Hope you guys and gals had weather even half as nice as the day that we had today. I read the post about bug spray....holy crap! You can't be outside for 5 minutes around dusk without getting chewed alive down here, I imagine that it's worse up there.
All of you up there are lucky people, and you won't find a better place than The Hideout or nicer people than Steve and Sue. Taylor and I send our regards and our good luck mojo to you.

The fish are tight lipped this weekend so far, but a couple have hit the Frabill. Everyone is on the water now as Sue and I prepare for a fish fry and grilled Brats when everyone gets in at dusk. We'll get out this afternoon for a couple hours!

We had some dandy storms work through the area all afternoon, running us off the water a couple times during the day. Steve and I saw a few yesterday; one tried pretty hard to eat a Topper Stopper, but just a couple pike for our day on the water.

The venison Sloppy Joes went over well last night, we were just short of running out at midnight thirty when everyone decided to hit the hay. The bugs were gone pretty much when we arrived thanks to Keith, who fired up the Ring and fogged for squitos before we got in.

Should be a good time at the Hideout this evening after dark, so if you are in the area, stop by and we'll feed you and get a beer or Iced Tea or soda in your mitt if you desire.

Beav, ain't the same without Taylor and you here. We need Pikopath here to get the fish going...

Sue and I have dinner ready and waiting for the crew to arrive. Perch, crappie and pike fillets, Venison Bacon burgers, Venison Cheese Brats, good old beefburgers all on the grill for the less than adventurous and fixins await the anglers. We stayed off the water after figuring out what needed to be cooked and prepared; the fire is going if thundershowers don't snuff out the Ring tonight.....bet you wish you made the Outing now, huh?

How about fresh, homemade rhubarb pie for dessert?

Report and a few pictures later.

Images from today...Merckid got a 41.5 for Big Fish, and K-Bob a 40. Sue kicked in a sweatshirt and hat from MuskieFIRST for Big Fish, a hat for second, and HaberVision donated a pair of top quality eyewear. The fire ring was stellar!

A well deserved thanks to Steve and Sue for their wonderful hospitality! The food was outstanding. Also, a special thanks to Steve's son, Keith, for the firepit duty and the fogging. It sure made it tolerable sitting outside.

For those of you who haven't attended one of these outings, I would highly recommend it.

Even though the fish we contacted had a serious case of the yips, Mike and I had a ball. Sure hope I'm in the area when the weather stabilizes and the fish get photogenic!

I second Jim's thoughts. Steve & Sue are great hosts as usual. Kieth id a great job on the fire and swatting all those bugs.

Thanks to Krishna for a day and a half in the boat and to TJ for allowing me to net the biggest fish of the trip.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at PI!!!
