Can't find the article ATM, but from what I heard last night and just reminded by pm.. All of the madison chain lakes are no-wake.

The Fox Chain in IL has been no wake for a couple days. They consider no wake under 5 mph, I guess that means no speed trolling. They actually closed the lower section of the river to all boat traffic also.

Is this true? I was just joking about it, but it seemed higher yesterday at The launch then when they had the (no wake) last year.
As of yesterday you get to walk through about 10 feet of up to 2 FOW just to get on the dock at Babcock Park.

Yes, last night on the news they said no wake on the entire Yahara Chain.

Waubesa is almost 1.5' above the summer maximum and still rising.

The CCMI chapter had their June on-the-water meeting last night and most everyone got out for a little while. Waubesa was up over a foot but the lake condition was weird. The water on most of the shoreline on the main lake was pretty clear, just high. However down the middle of the lake which I can only guess is the current area of the lake the water was brown and cruddy looking. I stayed out of the crud and fished the shorelines but no fish.

lakes are fine...some areas have really bad cottonwood stuff on the water that gets all over your line which is a pain...as Shane said, north end of wauby is a bit dirty...i would guess olbrich and the yahara inlet are dirty on monona..
didn't move much last nite but we did get a 41" in the net...
