About time someone popped the question...

Whats your plans for the MN opener?

I was going to go to French but decided it might be a little crowded for my taste. So instead I plan on hitting one of the metro tiger lakes. Don't expect anything huge but if I can boat 3-4 fish in the upper thirty inch range that would be good enough for me. Showgirls and rad dog spinnerbaits will be my first choices.

About time June 7th got here!!! So how about you...

I will be either at Lake Alexander, or Sugar lake. Of course my friend who is a pro bass fisherman has boated 2 muskies in the last few days throwing his own line of spinnerbaits for bass. Both on Alex and both over 40".

If it's not raining I'll be putting my kids on some Perch and Sunfish this weekend, and the Muskies will have to wait. Due to the popularity of catch and release, I'm sure some will still be around neex weekend.

I would be VERY happy if I got 3-4 upper thirty inch tigers in a day! For the tiger lakes I fish, upper thirties is about as big as they get...

I'll be in the Longville area fishing through mid week. Hopefully the sun actually makes an appearance once or twice as this rain is getting old.........

I work opener but come midweek it's game on. Mantrap and/or Plant. Maybe another smaller lake also depending on how the report is.

Hey Guys,
I think this year I'm going to stay close to home and fish. So the Detroit Lakes
area it is. I hope those fish will be on the bite. Than a week later it might be time
to hit Mantrap.

Normally I would fish French, but with the amount of pressure it has been getting the last few years from the cities I will be heading up to Waconia. I expect French to be even worse this year with the latest article in the Outdoor news about it. It's ironic that more and more metro fisherman are coming down to fish French which has been pushing me to go up to the metro more and more.
