Posts: 375 Location: Browerville, Minnesota | What is everyones feelings in regards to this lure? I ordered one, as I think it will be a deadly crankbait. Just wondering if anyone has been using these baits and what they think the pros and cons of it are.

Location: Illinois | I stopped buying Dunwright plastics after the bad experience with the bluegill model's skeleton ripping away from the body itself on several baits. I've seen em in the local musky shop, but I'm not crazy about the color patterns, either.

| LETS SEE I MELTED MY FIRST THREE BECAUSE OF NO DISCLAIMER WHATSOEVER ON THESE BAITS WHEN THEY WERE FIRST RELEASED ( AT LEAST FOR AS HARD AS I LOOKED). YOU HAVE TO BE VERY GOOD AT CASTING SO YOUR BAIT DOESNT FOUL. I.E. THE BAIT CANNOT ROTATE WHILE DURING THE CAST, OR ODDS ARE IT FOULED. I DID GET A 47 ON ONE THO. IM TALKING THE 8" SUSPENDING PIKE. I NEVER BOUGHT THE BLUE GILL FOR MANY REASONS. I ALSO HAVE A LIZARD TOO AND THAT ONE LOOKS GOOD BUT NEVER BEEN USED. SO I GUESS ALL IN ALL I LIKE EM, BUT WILL THROW MANY OTHER BAITS BEFORE I GET THOSE OUT. | |||

Posts: 33 Location: New Berlin WI / Pelican Lake WI | I thought I would offer my 2 cents. I am a big fan of the Life Like line. Not only do these baits catch fish ( big fish at that ) they hold up for multiple fish. I personaly have caght 4 fish this year on the same bait ( 7" life like pike ) and this bait is still good to keep fishing. As far as the Life Likes Perch these baits have been on fire for me and for a few other tournament anglers. Last year alone I know of over 10 tournament fish taken on them 5 of them big fish of the tournament! This is only betwen 4 guys I want you to know. The orange and black perch is by far my favorite. One note on the Dunwright baits to get the durability that they get on these they have to use a plastic they formula X ? Make sure you dont store them with other plastics they will melt together some thing with the differnt plastic types. I keep mine separate and I have not had a problem.

Posts: 33 | I think the 10" Lifelike Perch is the most versatile bait in the Dunwright lineup. The pause on the bait is extremely effective. The lifelike lures are most durable soft plastic bait on the market but they do need a little special care in storage. I simply use Plano box(s) just for these lures a small price to pay for the quality of the lure. The panfish internals have been redesigned and if anyone is having problems simply get a hold of Dunwright and the will resolve the problem. Dan Buss

| I just want to say that I believe that the perch is Dunwrights best lure. It has worked very well for me the few times I was able to get out this summer. My father and I are very good friends with Dan Vogel who is the owner of Dunwright and the perch has by far produced more follows and fish then any other lure I have ever thrown. I would like to also ask that muskellunged please give them another shot. | |||
