| Im taking a week long vacation June 7-14 and found a nice place to stay on Solberg Lake. Just wondering how the overall musky fishing is, or if there is a good pike population. Ive been to the Phillips chain before, just wondering how Solberg compares . P.M me if you would like. Thanks Rick |

| Solberg is considered a numbers lake. It does hold some good sized fish, but I doubt you would call it a big fish lake. Work the island and stumps near it. There are several good bays to fish also. Good luck. |

Location: Roscoe IL | Spent a week on Solberg a few years ago & caught my first Tiger. Hit an Orange on Orange bucktail.... Water was way too warm the 3 days & put the muskie stuff away. Spent balance of the week under a tree next to the cooler & hitting the local bars.
Lot & lot of pike on a fly rod off the dock...
Good luck!
Fogot to mention. Went to the St.Croix manufacturing plant & get the royal treatment that included a full tour. It's an easy drive from there!

Location: Bloomington MN / Price County WISC | Solberg is a fun lake to fish. You can try for a wall hanger muskie, walleye, or bring an ultralite for the pan fish. When you come through Phillips, stop at Ross's Sport Shop, 715-339-3625. He can give you the latest info. Just up St Hwy 13 is StCroix Rods, it's a must see ! Watch your posted speed on the roads up here, baits are cheaper. |
