The recirc pump on our front livewell (Crestliner 1850 Fish Hawk) goes on periodically even though all switches are off. Any suggestions? There also doesn't seem to be an easy way to disconnect it without cutting the wires.

Sounds like one of the "auto" bilge pumps installed in some boats, Sean. I used to have one on an Alumacraft, and it eventually got to the point that it would run the battery dead. There wasn't any water in the boat mind you, it would just run. I finally ended up replacing the thing with a manual unit.

You might just want to replace the thing with a manual recirc pump, if there's a switch now. I generally don't like the "automatic" pumps, simply because whatever makes them automatic can sometimes go haywire. Then it's an automatic drain on the battery, lol. But I can't believe that it's good for the pump to run dry like that either...
