Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Nice tails for the first time around. Can't really tell but a hook up by the blades is always a good idea since muskies tend to hit near the head of the bait. Attach with two heavy split rings and not a clevis. You can change the hook when cut on the release and spilt rings hold up better than clevis's. Sometimes double willows that large hang up on the retrieve so make sure far enough away from main body of hair or flashabou.
I really like that red skirt and the black for night fishing.

Location: Medford, WI | Dave, I was interested in experimenting with some twin willow-leaf blades this coming year as well. Have you thrown other baits that have had two willows on them? If so, much success on them?
Thanks, Jake |

| no i have not. I am going to throw these two baits today at a local pond to see how they do. I was interested in the willows because they looked like they would put a lot of flash and vibration out. we'll see what happens come june, july, and august when i will be throwing these for the skies.

Location: Mayer, MN | I made a few double willows which were about the same size as yours, they worked great but didn't have nearly as much vibration as a #10 Colorado blade, you should try a #13 Colorado they are a trip. Like a 5 h.p. motor prop.
They skirt might get cought up in the blades as well but nothing that can't be changed a bit. Good luck, they look good enuf to eat. |
