| I am planning on taking a weekend trip this year to Vermilion in Minnesota this year and was wondering when I should go. I am not necessarily looking for a monster but would rather have numbers. I will be going with two other musky guys and our three girlfriends/wifes. So the wifes are happy we want to keep them into fish. Any pointers? |

| From my experiences, anytime in July until early August is good fishing on a consistant basis. The middle of August through September can be very good too but is more hit or miss. A little more unpredictable than July/ early August. Use topwaters and bucktails on rocks and weeds if you end up going in the summer months. I wouldn't fish any deeper than 6 or 7 feet either. GOOD LUCK and have fun! |

Unless you go west, and go late. But don't tell anyone I said that, deal? |

Location: Duluth,MN & lake Vermilion | On Vermilion all year is good, its just a matter of being out on the water trying to put a plan together. The fish patterns vary from day to day to time of year. I would say July & Aug are good, But you also cant beat fall trolling.
If you are looking for a guide, I would be happy to take you guys out.
Good Luck
