I've heard a little bit about this system but haven't fished it. I've seen some decent reports and have seen some pics of some impressive fish from there. Looking at it as a possible location for a club outing this year. So if anyone has any info or can point me in a direction to get info that would be most appreciated. Also, what type of traffic can I expect for the opener.

The Chain is a great body of water. Opening weekend will be busy, but there are plenty of bays and other lakes to hide out in. Bent's Camp (Paul and Lisa Stemen are the owners) is a great place to stay, they have a bar and restaurant and plenty of cabins to accomodate an outing. They fill up pretty quick so you might have a problem there. Bruce Becker and Pat Sheehan are great guides for that water, they are always on "BIG" fish. Good luck.

I would second the Bruce Becker suggestion. Great fisherman, great guy.
