| Hi, I am looking for 5-6 inch weagle type bait that is wood and can withstand the rigors of muskie. I don't want a light bait like a jackpot though, I like the deeper riding weagle just need a version I can throw on a lighter rod that I can pack in on my mountain bike...any info would be great...thanks,Ben |

Check with baldy, I know one of the baby's either weagle or wabull was going to be made out of wood now. |

Location: Twin Cities | No the Viper is alot like the Weagle but has been around longer....which came first the chicken or the egg? Older vipers are made of wood, the newer ones are not.

Try a G-log. I have them in 6", 8" and 9" versions. A guy in Central WI makes them. Here's a pic of some. PM me if you want his contact info. He makes these to order, so it might take a while. These run pretty nice. They don't pop up like a jackpot and don't go underwater very often either.

| A 6in satisfier (is what i believe it is) would be a great choice for a smaller wtd topwater bait. it sits low in the water and is heavy so it doesnt get popped out of the water as easy as some wtd topwaters.

Location: north central wisconsin | Good call Krishna, and nice pics of some larger examples. The G-logs were made from 4.5-9" and are by far, my favorite and best working walk the dog type topwater in my collection. Had the best swoosh around due to the large head, and always 'hugged' the surface. That said, Grant has taken some time off from making them for a spell, with two kids now. I am hoping to talk him out of retirement, and maybe we could help him if enough interest is shown, as it is a shame to see the talent not being used, at least to some extent. In the mean time, the baby Weagle is probably close to what you are looking for, or maybe a Bucher Dancin Raider. I always liked the ara Super Spook too, in 5.5".

| Well, I think Grant might be out of retirement as he has agreed to make me a 5 and 7 inch model G-logs...Looking forward to using the 5 on the tigers out here and perhaps the 7 on a trip to Canada this summer...summer thanks again for all the help...Ben |

| No true strain, but I have encountered some super large pike and nice walleye lakes. I also have done well on trout. I have not went after the tigers yet...but hope to soon. Moving out here has been a great decision so far.... |
