Location: nationwide | I have a stainless prop on a 60 hp 4 stroke Suzuki for my esox magnum. It was on the motor when I bought the rig. Looks cool but am not sure if it makes a difference speed or holeshot wise.

Check the pitch of the prop you have now. If you are happy with the hole shot and performance, get the next pitch higher stainless. In other words, if you are running an 11, get a 12 stainless. |

Location: Cave Run Lake KY. | Steve - - You have just answered my question, I have a Suzuki DF140 on my 17'7" Hydra-Sport that came with a 3 Bladed SS prop. The hole shot is great but top end 48mp. just doesent make it. I have a converter kit for the Suzy to put a Merc or Evinrude prop on it. I was thinking of a Merc. high five or a 4 bladed OMC. prop. Now Im thinking one pitch up with a stainless 4 bladed prop will do it. Let me know what you think will work the best. Thanks Marv. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Marv, I'd try the next pitch, yes. Thing is, the Suzi props are WAY different than the Merc as to pitch and size, so I can't say exactly which Merc prop will be the right one for you. |
