Had some good results with it last year using baitcasting gear. This year I've geared up with quality spinning gear and mono after reading the good MuskieFIRST posts on the subject. Will be doing much more of it this year. |

| im going to try it this year!! especially after watching a segment on joe buchers show, and last year in canada on a 100+ degree day goofing off i threw a bulldawg along a steep drop next to an island and used it almost like a jig caught a really nice pike.
its worked well for me in the past for bass, why wouldnt muskies be the same way in the weeds?

| I voted only on occasion. It's not my go-to, nor is it even my second or third, but there are very specific situations (i.e. heavy weeds/slop, heavy timber, gravel bottom rivers) where I will clip a jig on. I lost one of the bigger fish I saw last season on a jig in a small, weed choked river in Ontario. Saw the fish in question chilling below a culvert, spooked it out into the stream. Figured it would be cruising the weed edge or return and bury itself in the weeds themselves, so I needed something to effectively hit the edges with. I broke out a JMAC, tossed it up current, let it swing downstream and crash into the weed edges/pockets as the line tightened. She hit as the jig was on a collision course with a small pocket, came flying out of the pocket to nail it head on.
After that incident I officially entered the jig into my arsenal, but mainly for really specific presentations. |

Location: Kronenwetter, WI | I voted for occasionally. My normal outings are 3-4 hours in the morning and a few hours at dark. To me, that is about enough time to run through bucktails, plastics, gliders, and finally jerks....If I get a 6-8 hour stint I may go to tossing wieghted plastics with slow retrieves, but that's not often on none too exciting. |

| You bettcha, and I have a rod/reel set up just for jig/creatures. It's a Abu 4500 w/ 30# PowerPro and a 7'6" extra heavy bass flippin stick. |

| I always have one rigged at all times,one of my favorite and most productive methods.Jigs and swim shads have saved the day for me many times. |
