I was thinking about putting a gas/water filter on my boat. I don't know much about them and was wondering if this would be a good idea with all the ethanol gas? How often do you have to change them? How do you tell if it's full of water? Do you have to shut off the gasline in order to chane or empty the filter? If you do have to shut it off, how do you do it? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Bob! I also have heard about using Stabil if you let the boat sit for more than a week. I should ask my dealer about that. I'm running a 2000 Yamaha 50 horse 4 stroke. you hear all kinds of horror stories about reformulated gas and what it does to motors. This gas maybe good for the enviroment and the farmers but it's heck on motors.

I can see it now. Black Market gasoline.

I live out in one of the "hick" areas that doesn't have reformulated gas. Except KwikTrip which I won't buy from anymore.

Anyway...for the right price I could fill up the trunk of my flat black Charger with regular old gasoline and make a midnight run to Kenosha. 4 or 5 hundred HP under the hood should make it a quick run. Red lights and sirens in the mirror. Pitching dynamite out the windows, you know the whole shooting match.

Whatcha offerin?????

Good Luck and Be Safe,
Scott
